Kristal Sharp-Thomas, Vice President, Operations Leader, Credit Card Lending Services, JPMorgan Chase
Kristal Sharp-Thomas is a Operations Leader for JPMorgan Chase in the Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) organization based in Tempe, Arizona. In this role, Kristal is responsible for leading a staff of 50 – 100 exempt/non-exempt contributors within the credit card new account and credit line increase lending business. In addition to managing direct teams, Kristal is also responsible for ensuring the translation of lending principles as well as assisting with the facilitation of implementation, governance, and analysis of judgmental lending decisions.
Kristal currently serves as the Co-chair for the Volunteer Leadership Group (VLG) where she focuses on corporate initiatives for our internal and external communities in effort to increase employee volunteerism through the use of the Good Works website. She also serves as the Communication and Marketing Chair for the Black Organization for Leadership Development (BOLD) Business Resource Group (BRG) where she continues to support the group’s initiative with increasing membership by bringing innovative ideas to the table that will provide leadership development for BOLD members.
Kristal joined JPMorgan Chase in June of 2002 as a Summer Intern in the Payment Processing Department. Over the course of her career with JPMorgan Chase, Kristal has worked across multiple lines of business including Credit Card Fraud Prevention, Home Lending Loss Mitigation, Home Lending Title & Closing Vendor Management, and Card Lending Services. She held a variety of positions including Team Leader, Team Manager, Vendor Manager and now Operations Leader.
Kristal is a native of Phoenix, Arizona and stays involved in her community. She volunteers her time to help develop women and young girls within the area of confidence, finding their passion and life purpose. Kristal resides in Tempe, AZ with her two sons.
