LaRae (Johnson) Maharaj, Head of Relationship Management, Morgan Stanley

LaRae has oversight for the Relationship Management team serving Morgan Stanley’s Home Loans organization based in Coppell, Texas.
Prior to joining Morgan Stanley in 2017, LaRae held various leadership positions at Countrywide, Bank of America and Caliber Home Loans. During her tenure in the mortgage banking industry she led organizations in Mortgage Fulfillment and Specialty Lending, National Title Strategy, National Operations Compliance and Quality. LaRae’s focus on partnerships and team building has been the foundation of this success.

In LaRae’s 26+ year career, she has supported teams of 500+ employees and greater than $40 billion annual volume. Most recently LaRae was the SVP of National Operations Support for one of the industry’s top 10 mortgage lenders. As part of her strategic accomplishments, she led the e-Closing initiative and successfully achieved the first fully electronic mortgage.

LaRae completed her undergrad at Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in International Management focused on Marketing and Spanish.

LaRae currently resides in the Dallas area with her family and is an avid volleyball mom and reader.
